Classic WoW - Demo is now playable

Classic WoW BlizzCon 2018 Demo Now Playable

That's a news! Blizzard gave us the opportuniy to play for a limited period of time the demo of Classic WoW! All information about the playable demo is on #wowisclassic

Playtime Limitations

When the demo goes live, we’ll use a playtime time limit and a cooldown (that starts when you first log in) to help as many people as possible play the Classic demo as much as possible. We’ll start with a playtime limit of a cumulative 60 minutes and a cooldown of 90 minutes. Here are some examples of how that might work:

• If you play for 30 minutes and then log off for 60 minutes, when you come back you’ll have a fresh 60 minutes.
• If you play for 60 minutes, you’ll be disconnected and then have to wait 30 minutes before you can play again.
• If you play for 20 minutes, log off for 20 minutes, then play 40 more minutes, you’ll be logged off and wait 10 more minutes.

Available Content in the Demo

• All characters will start the demo at level 15 to get a taste of talents and professions. The demo level cap will be 19.
• The two available zones will be Westfall and Barrens, but Deadmines and Wailing Caverns will not be available. You'll be able to experience Barrens chat and getting one-shot by Defias mages!
• The Classic Demo will come with Battle.net chat integration and right-click player reporting.
• There is improved support for widescreen monitors.
• Support for the 32-bit client has been removed.

Hi everyone! We’re incredibly excited for you all to get your hands on the WoW Classic BlizzCon demo next week, and to help make things as smooth as possible, we’re making the client available to download for Virtual Ticket holders starting today.

Over the next 24 hours, we’ll be enabling the ability to download the WoW Classic demo through the Battle.net app for players who have purchased the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, as well as standard BlizzCon ticket holders who have added their Virtual Goodies code to their Battle.net account. If you don’t see the option to install the demo right away, don’t worry – you’ll still have plenty of time to download the client before the demo goes live during BlizzCon next week.
