First of all, there are three things you need to know about hunters:
In raids, the hunter’s main job is to pull packs and bait them to tanks, as well as crowd control (Ice Trap or kiting). Of course, your job is also doing big DPS.

You can kite in multiple ways, depending on the mob and whether or not he’s vulnerable Trait de choc.

/cast Tranquilizing ShotFirst, your pet has to look great and like you. Well, if he likes you it’s good enough. Your pet will do 125% more damage if he likes you. Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to get your pet to like you, just give him food!

Careful: This buff doesn’t work on mid-flight arrows. Wait for a Visée or a Flèches multiples to use your pet’s buff to make the best of it

First off, these specs will have to be double-checked when Classic release, they’re susceptible to change depending on how you like to play, else everybody would have the exact same character and we’d only talk about math, graphs and stats, which would suck the fun out of the game.Marskmanship hunters are the most common archetype in PvE. You could drop Flèche de dispersion for one point of Barrage to gain 5% Multishot damage.Hunters’ rotation is mostly about Visée / Flèches multiples at the right time between Tir automatique. It’s pretty simple but you still have to be focused.
Slow weapons are ideal to minimize the amount of autoattack clipping. For example, if you start casting Visée 2 seconds before your autoattack, the auoattack will be clipped.
Indeed, autoattacks have a hidden cast time (unless you’re using the Swing-timer, mandatory if you want to be optimized) that is dependent on your weapon speed (and attack speed bonuses).
For example, if your Tir automatique has a cast time of 2.5 sec, you want to wait for that long before casting Visée or Flèches multiples or you’re going to clip your autoattack and lose DPS.
Flèches multiples also has a short cast time which can cut your autoattack, so be careful with it as well.
The more often you clip your autoattacks, the lower your DPS will be. Timing is essential to maximize your DPS. You can listen to or watch your character, and as soon as you hear/see the arrow leaving the bow, you can cast Visée or Flèches multiples.
Beyond that, the rotation is the same for both specs.

Here is the BIS gear for HunterYou mostly want to increase your critical strike chance via Agility.
A critical strike causes 230% of normal damage thanks to Coups mortels. The first point of critical strike chance on your character sheet increases your DPS by 1,3% but past 25% it increases it by less than 1%. This is why there’s a “soft cap” at 25%. Don’t worry too much about critical strike chance however, just get agility.You absolutely need to be hit capped 9% hit chance unless Dwarves with rifles or Trolls with bows who only need 6%.
Favor a low attack speed weapon (around 3.0) so your autoattacks don’t get clipped by your skills. Using a Carquois en cuir de harpie this 3.0 speed is lowered to 2.61.
